1. Who we are

3. Information, not advice

The content of this website is general information about Meridium and about doing business in Singapore and the region. It is not legal, tax, accounting or investment advice, and it does not take account of your circumstances. Nothing on this site creates an adviser and client relationship. Professional services are provided only under a written engagement agreed with us, and you should not act on anything you read here without advice on your own situation.

4. Free resources and tools

We make certain resources available free of charge, including the setup planner, the income tax calculator, the Employment Pass salary calculator, the compliance calendar and the guides on our resources page (together, the tools). The tools are provided for general information and planning purposes only and are not part of any professional service.

The income tax calculator produces an estimate. It applies published rates, reliefs and thresholds as at the verification date shown on the page, uses simplified assumptions that are described on the page, and does not account for every relief, deduction, rebate or special scheme that may apply to you. Rates and reliefs change, usually following the annual Singapore Budget, and we may not have updated the tools at the time you use them. Your actual tax liability is determined solely by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) on assessment. The tools are not provided, reviewed or endorsed by IRAS or any other authority; references to IRAS are source attributions only.

The Employment Pass salary calculator applies the qualifying salaries and COMPASS C1 salary benchmarks published by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) as at the verification date shown on the page. It covers only the salary requirements. It does not assess the other COMPASS criteria, bonus points or any other factor MOM considers, and MOM updates its salary requirements from time to time. Whether an Employment Pass is granted is decided solely by MOM. The calculator is not provided, reviewed or endorsed by MOM or any other authority; references to MOM are source attributions only.

The setup planner gives general guidance on structure, timing, government fees and tax, based on the answers you give and on rules and fees as at the verification date shown on the page. Timelines are typical allowances, not commitments, and do not reflect the processing times of any authority or bank. The planner does not cover every scheme, licence or exception. Whether a pass, licence or registration is granted is decided solely by the authority concerned, and the planner is not provided, reviewed or endorsed by any authority; references to authorities are source attributions only.

Using the tools does not create an adviser and client relationship, and no output of the tools constitutes advice on your position. You are responsible for verifying any result before relying on it, and Meridium accepts no liability for any decision taken, tax provision made, filing submitted or work pass application made on the basis of the tools. If you need a figure you can rely on, engage us in writing.

The calculators run entirely in your browser. Figures you enter are not transmitted to or stored by Meridium. The setup planner also runs in your browser; your answers reach Meridium only if you choose to send them through the review form at the end of your plan.

5. Accuracy and changes

We take reasonable care to keep the content of this site accurate and current, including references to Singapore regulatory requirements, which change from time to time. We do not warrant that the content is complete, accurate or up to date at any given moment, and we may change or remove content, including the tools, without notice.

6. Intellectual property

The content of this website, including text, the tools, the Meridium name, the orchid mark and the site design, belongs to Meridium or its licensors. You may view, download and print content for your own reference, but you may not reproduce it commercially, embed or redistribute the tools, or present any of it as your own without our written permission. Statutory rates, thresholds and salary benchmarks reproduced in the tools are public information of the Government of Singapore. You may share our guides and the compliance calendar free of charge in their complete, unaltered form.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse this website: not to attempt unauthorised access, not to interfere with its operation, not to use it to transmit malicious code, and not to collect its content with automated tools in a way that burdens or disrupts the site. Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to read and cite the site, as set out in its robots.txt file.

8. Third party sites

Where this site links to third party websites, including government resources, those links are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content of third party sites. The download pages on resources.meridium.sg are Meridium's own pages, hosted for us by HubSpot, and these terms apply to them as well.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meridium accepts no liability for loss arising from reliance on the content of this website or the tools, or from their unavailability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Singapore law.

10. Personal data

Personal data submitted through this website, including through the enquiry form and the newsletter sign-up, and data collected by any analytics or similar tools we use, is handled in accordance with our data protection policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from the use of this website.
