Meridium at the Day of German Unity 2026 celebrations in Singapore
Managing Director David Stepat joined the German and Singaporean business community at the Day of German Unity reception hosted by the German Embassy and the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Meridium’s Managing Director, David Stepat, joined members of the German and Singaporean business community at this year’s Day of German Unity reception in Singapore, hosted by the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany together with the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SGC). The celebration marks the anniversary of German reunification on 3 October 1990, 36 years ago this year.
Germany’s Ambassador to Singapore, Dr Bettina Fanghänel, addressed the guests. The reception was supported by a wide range of German companies active in Singapore and the region, from banks and insurers to industrial and technology companies.
For David, who co-chairs the SGC’s HR Committee, the reception was also a chance to reconnect with partners and friends across the German business community in Singapore.

“The Day of German Unity is a reminder of what openness and cooperation can achieve, and it is always a special occasion to celebrate with the German community here in Singapore. For many German companies, Singapore is the base from which they run their business in Asia, and the questions they bring us are practical ones: how to set up well, stay compliant and grow across the region. As a German who has spent more than twenty years in Asia, helping them do that is one of the most rewarding parts of our work at Meridium.”
